Brine E.C. A Short Biography
Brine E.C. “The Artist Formerly Known As Steve” is best unknown for his award binning work with avant-Guardian reading post- psychedelic rock ensemble COD. Hailed as a genius by many of his multiple personalities, the musician has enjoyed a decades long, some would say largely imaginary career as a prolific singer songwriter, composer, poet and lyricist.
Easily traversing the full range of popular musical styles from Rock to, erm..., other types of rock, this multi-instrumentalist polymath can play all 6 of the guitars that he owns and after only a week mastered both F and C7 on the ukulele
Brine has given me a list of music biz types that he says he has worked with that have gone on to be successful, and some of these I have actually heard of. So, without too much name dropping, it’s fair to say that Todd Rundgren, Prince, Keith Richards, Taylor Swift, composer Ryuichi Sakamoto and that bloke H out of Steps represent a tiny fraction of the platinum selling artists who have neither worked with Brine or indeed even heard of him.
So, is Brine the” last truly undiscovered sage, poet and psychedelic prophet of the post rock era?” A better question might be, has Brine really embarked on a solo career as a songwriter as he says, or is he simply unable to get any one else to play with?
