About Brine’s Psonic Sanctuary

The Queen Mother opening up a similar sanctuary somewhere in the seventies (probably)

In 2022 with the demise of my band, many of my much-loved musical compositions faced an uncertain future. Cast from the warm confines of the recording studio and used to mixing with nutritious ideas and sounds, these unorthodox tunes were ill-prepared for the harsh new realities that faced them in the vast Spotified audio wilderness. Songs that once dreamed of a comfortable life in front of a niche, but adoring public would henceforth find themselves eking out a half- existence in squalid, mouldering cardboard boxes.
Some lived on as MP3’s, surviving on memory sticks and the odd listen (after a few drinks.) But many of the older formats, cassettes and ¼ inch tapes, now began to fall into complete disrepair, crumbling, unheard and seemingly unloved.
Finally in 2025, saddened by the plight of my old (but still plucky) tunes, I determined to set up a refuge in which these neglected sounds would be restored to their former glory and once again play happily with others of their kind.
This is the growing Psonic Psanctuary in which you now find yourself. If you care to have a look around, you will find a virtual treasury of lost gems (and new pearls). These include songs, poetry and lyrics, sonic architecture from Akashic Music Channel, plus photos and artyfacts drawn from all over and under the full- fathom depths of The Parallel Sea.
If your own creativity doesn't swim in the mainstream and is adrift in a sea of virtual indifference, tell us about yourselves. Your work will actually be listened to, with curious ears and given a plug on this site. (That’s a promotional plug for your music, not for your ears). This is a free service, but if you can help spread the word about the Psonic Psanctuary to your friends, we might be able to help save more stray and neglected works of art. Send some info, a demo or a link to: reviews@brineonline.co.uk
Our residents are always terribly pleased when people take the time to listen to them. Now with your help and a regular flow of new arrivals, Brine’s Psonic Psanctuary aims to improve the lives of all its gifted residents, regardless of their format speed or genre.
So, enjoy your visit and come back soon.
